Eustace Conway’s Forest Products & Timber Harvest Workshop -
November 16-17, 2024

This is your opportunity to learn & benefit directly from the “Mountain Man” himself. Eustace will be teaching this “Hands On” Workshop!

You gain forestry wisdom from a direct contact class with Mountain Man Eustace Conway. This day is all about  hands on, you doing the work, and the process with Eustace: Hands on “on the job” training…so you can take the skills and knowledge home forever, to your place.

You will have the experience of actually working side by side with this living legacy of forest management.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity to enhance your understanding and skills. Broaden your insight of how to interact successfully with trees and forest management; from the scope of your own backyard to a professional level of large forestry management.

  • Chainsaw use

  • Evaluating and selecting trees

  • Felling trees

  • “Working up” the down tree

  • Brush management

  • Loading and transporting logs

  • Sawmill use

  • Fresh lumber management

  • Firewood processing

and on and on and on….

We will cover more than you think is possible in a day.  Eustace blends lots of information with lots of hands-on, fast paced work in the field.  If you aren’t ready to work and participate heavily, don’t sign up.  This is an Action Series Class.

You are guaranteed to gain inspiration, knowledge, confidence and skill; a strong perspective boost for any bright, strong, young person who wants foundational skills to build on for a lifetime of empowered freedom.  No tools required, just an open willingness to work hard and focused with a strong back and strong work ethic.

Join this ancient time honored practice of the passing of knowledge from the old to the young, brought to you by Turtle Island Preserve, where we keep the values of the past in the present for the future.
